@panicxlover01: I tend to vent as you say,but I really want to drive home the point that horses need understand not just hugs and kisses. Horses get a bad rap and bad life when they are just loved and then they are deemed dangerous and unsafe and someone wants to kill them. I think this is due to the huge market place of women that are easy to appeal to their kind side and take their money. I get emails from other trainers that tell me thanks since they can’t say what I say or they lose money.
lol i suspect this was a bit of a venting video too=P
it’s refreshing to know that someone else is like this around horses…I’ve seen people like you described “I love him, he just doesn’t like whatever” and sell this perfectly good horse because they go out for 2 hours a week=S
@honeyhearts27 : Yea a few times but not when working with a horse when someone else did something, walked their horse behind me or I was not paying attention in pasture and ended up in the middle of a pecking order issue between other horses. Kicked only once on purpose by a horse. Missed several times since I normally keep just out of range but have felt the breeze of a hoof a few times.
@honeyhearts27 : Absolutely not, you only learn by doing, you have to do to learn it and make mistakes so the can tell you what works and what does not work.

Should beginners leave the round penning for advanced riders to do?
@alexisfowler93 : You have to be ready to push him hard, put a plastic bag on the end of a 3 foot stick and if that horse gets close enough where you swat him with the bag or stick, whack him, make him not want to get close to you unless you call him and and he walks in face first. You may need someone to round pen the horse who knows what they are doing to break this since you taught it to horse, much harder for you to stop it.
What do you do if when you go towards the horse or ask him to move away from you he kicks out at you or darts at you and kicks? I got kicked in the face and obviously couldn’t correct him at the time(unconscious) so now he thinks he has that advantage over me.

Amen. If you don’t drag your butt out there to the stable and clean your stall, be with your horse, play with your horse, train your horse, groom your horse every day – then you don’t really own a horse. You just ride one once a week at a stable. That horse doesn’t know you from Adam. Or they know you as someone beneath them in the pecking order.
She turned to you quick. I don’t see “evil” there. Probably pretty nice once you get to know her, once you prove you’re worth paying attention to.
