My daughter needs to teach her horse such things as standing while being mounted, getting on the bit, and jumping (he has done the slightest little bit of poles and 2′ jumps). What books can you recommend?

I’m about to finish “Storey’s Guide to Training Horses” by Heather Smith Thomas. It was okay, but there are some holes in the information. And she is extremely repetitive in common sense advice.
